RevAir dries and straightens curly hair beyond compare!
When reving TYPE 3A HAIR, I find I get the best results when using TENSION LEVEL 4-5 and the HIGH HEAT (II) TEMPERATURE SETTING.
Since the curl pattern of TYPE 3A HAIR can be a little resilient, you want to assure you are reving the hair long to get the sleek, straight result you’re hoping for! Generally, I leave each section in the Wand for at least 60 SECONDS. However, depending on the section, you may need to extend that time to 60-90 SECONDS.

No matter how many times I rev hair, I'm always amazed at how quick and effective RevAir does the hair. Traditional methods, of a blow dryer and round brush, can take upwards of 45-60 minutes to dry the hair, plus an additional styling time of 20-30 minutes. With RevAir, I can dry and straighten the hair in 15-20 MINUTES. That means you are done in 1/3 OF THE TIME!
BRITTNI'S TIPS & TRICKS
- GET READY: Before reving, I prep strands with a protectant. Although RevAir does not use hot plates or extreme temperatures, this is a great practice to further care for the health of your hair. My favorite is the Verb Ghost Prep.
- DIVIDE & CONQUER: While it is not required, I find that dividing the hair into sections makes it simpler to rev the hair. The number of sections depends on the density of the hair. Be sure sections are not too large, as you may notice that they are not drying all the way through. After some easy and quick trial and error, you will conquer the correct section size in no time!
- SHINE ON: After I complete reving every section, I end the style with a lightweight serum. Curly hair always looks best with more moisture added regardless of wearing it straight or the styling tool used. Depending on the finish you are looking for, you may still choose to quickly run a straightener over the hair. But because of the incredible results of RevAir, I typically can skip this step!
