What are the best practices for achieving the desired results with RevAir on kinky, coily, or curly hair?Updated 6 months ago

We understand the challenges that can come with styling thick, coarse, or coily hair types. Here are a few tips to help you achieve the best possible results with your RevAir:

  • Start with freshly washed and conditioned hair – semi-dry hair affects RevAir’s efficiency.
  • Choosing the right products before Reving is essential. We recommend smoothing and moisturizing products to enhance your RevAir results.
  • Section your hair into 3x3 inch portions. about the size of the mouth of the Wand. This size is ideal to maintain consistent airflow and avoid overheating within the Wand.
  • Apply the Wand directly to your scalp to dry the roots thoroughly and avoid 'pumping' as that can cause tangling.
  • Experiment with the tension settings to find the sweet spot that works for your hair – usually between 4-6 for textured hair types.
  • Time your sessions well. Each section might take a few minutes, but a little extra time in the Wand could make a significant difference.
  • Use the 'cool shot' feature to add shine and smooth ends after the hair is dried, helping to seal the cuticle and maintain frizz control.
  • Refrain from pumping the Wand up and down the hair strand to prevent tangles. Instead, reposition the Wand every so often to ensure the roots are fully dried.

Patience and practice are key. Give yourself a few sessions to get accustomed to the RevAir and its capabilities, and you're likely to see your results improve.
