Typical blow dryers will have an output temp of around 120°Celsius (248° Fahrenheit) at a few inches away from the nozzle, while flat irons, curling irons & heated bushes can reach up to 232° Celsius (450° Fahrenheit).
RevAir uses an 800-Watt heater with a high speed fan to create a vacuum environment inside of the Wand. The temperature inside Wand, with a section of hair present reaches a maximum of 80° Celsius (176° Fahrenheit) using the high heat setting. On the low heat setting, the RevAir Wand will expose hair to about 60°Celsius (140° Fahrenheit).
RevAir is extremely efficient with heat, because the reverse air flow does most of the work by gently drawing the water from the hair while sealing the cuticles. This efficiency means it takes about ⅓ of the time to dry, stretch and/or straighten the hair; all while exposing the hair to less than half the temperature of a blow dryer.
